Funds came just in time for Terrence, who hasn’t been able to file for unemployment, to pay his March bills

Terrence lives in Chicago with his family of four. He lost his job because of the COVID-19 pandemic, and has been trying to file an unemployment claim since mid-March. For Terrence, the $500 #GiveTogetherNow funds came just in time. “This relief fund helped big-time. I was able to pay the balance on my March rent, March cellphone bill and buy some household products,” he says. “I am grateful to know there is a relief fund that helps families like mine in this situation.” As April bills trickle in, Terrence is taking life one day at a time. He is optimistic about the future. “I know we will get through this COVID-19.”
